Getting the best out of reclaimed motor parts takes planning

Motor insurers are struggling to maximise the use of reclaimed parts in motor repairs because they have not implemented proper processes to support the use of second-hand parts.

Neil Joslin , COO of e2e Total Loss Vehicle Management said that reclaimed parts cannot just be a Plan B for when Plan A fails. He was speaking at a webinar hosted by his company, exploring a sustainable approach to motor claims.

Panel members included representatives from AA Insurance Services, Ageas Insurance, Co-op Insurance, and the National Body Repair Association

Joslin added: “We will continue to advocate the use and potential of reclaimed parts and to represent the professional salvage and recycling agents who are making this concept a reality, across the insurance industry.”
