Allianz and Dinghy in business insurance JV

Allianz has partnered with on-demand insurtech company Dinghy to provide business insurance for the freelancer market.

The offering will include professional indemnity, public liability and business equipment insurance cover.

Director of broker markets at Allianz, Nick Hobbs said that the partnership represented a great opportunity for the firm, as insure-as-you-work solutions are expected to become more prevalent.

“We recognise that the world of employment is changing rapidly and our work in getting to this point with Dinghy has re-emphasised that evolution,” he added.

The Tewkesbury-based company offers flexible on-demand business insurance for freelancers. Cover levels may be flexed up or down via an app.
