Insurtech UK partners with Seedrs to boost start-up investment

Insurtech UK, the trade association for insurance technology start-ups, has signed a deal with online investment platform Seedrs.

The partnership aims to better connect emerging insurtech businesses to investors looking to support disruptive technologies.

James York, deputy chair of Insurtech UK, said: “Our combined networks bring a powerful community together that is focused on transforming insurance. It will allow our members greater access to finance opportunities, whilst enabling industry angels to have a more comprehensive overview of the investment opportunities currently available in the UK market.”

Insurtech UK members Wrisk and Pluto have both raised capital on the Seedrs platform in recent years. Wrisk’s three funding rounds have attracted more than 2,440 investors and Pluto raised £644,000 at the end of 2019 from 895 investors.
