Insurtech Blink expands Canadian presence

Insurtech company Blink, part of CPP Group, has partnered with Canadian travel insurance provider TuGo. It will provide the latter with a tailor-made solution, MyFlyt, designed to monitor consumers’ flights and to immediately inform them of any delay.

Consumers registered with the product will have access to a range of options in case of a delayed flight, such as airport lounge access or cash payouts.

This is the third deal the Cork-based insurtech company has concluded this year within the Canadian market.

Chief executive officer and co-founder of Blink, Paul Prendergast said: “We look forward to enhancing TuGo’s travel products with MyFlyt service to improve their customers’ experiences when flights are delayed.”

The insurtech company was purchased by Leeds-based CPP Group in 2017. It provides solutions for insurers in Asia, Europe and North America in various sectors such as travel, climate, energy and the Internet of things.
