Lloyd's appoints whistleblowers’ champion

Lloyd’s has appointed Angela Crawford-Ingle as whistleblowers’ champion, in charge of overseeing the independence and effectiveness of its whistleblowing policies and procedures. Separately, she was also appointed to Lloyd’s board as chair of the audit committee.

Crawford-Ingle is currently serving as senior independent director and chair of audit committee at River & Mercantile Group and NED and audit committee chair at Openwork.

She has over 30 years’ experience as a senior partner at PwC in the financial services industry, specialising in insurance and asset management and was NED and chair of the audit and risk committees at Beazley and at Swinton.

Lloyd’s Chairman, Bruce Carnegie-Brown said he was delighted to welcome Crawford-Ingle and commented: “At Lloyd’s we are committed to encouraging an open, honest and transparent culture that encourages speaking up – this is crucial to help us build the high performing culture that the Future at Lloyd’s demands.”
