Everest Re Group Ltd has secured shareholder approval to change its name to Everest Group Ltd. The group includes Everest Syndicate 2786, which was established in 2015 and writes business in the following lines: property, energy, casualty, financial institutions, financial lines, commercial executive risks, professional liability, contingency; and accident and health.

Juan C Andrade, president and CEO of Everest, said: “Everest’s new name and stock ticker reflect the evolution of our value proposition, built on five decades of reinsurance leadership and an expanding presence in the global primary insurance market.

“In today’s heightened risk environment, our hybrid business model, breadth of global capabilities and outstanding talent are more vital than ever.”

Everest has also launched a new corporate website to accompany its rebrand.
