QuestGates has sought to strengthen its professional building services offering with the acquisition of Glasgow-based Ramsay McMichael Consulting.

Ramsay McMichael has an experienced team working across building surveying, architecture, consulting, civil and structural engineering, and its new owners says its service structure complements both QuestGates’ existing surveying division and last year’s acquisition of Structural Surveys and Design.

Chris Hall, managing director of QuestGates, said: “We have grown both organically and by acquisition since incorporation 20 years ago and this is the first of a number of potential developments which we anticipate completing this year.”

Ramsay McMichael will become part of the wider QuestGates group but continue to operate under its established brand with further recruitment being sought to enhance the business’s geographic coverage.
