Axa XL and Placing Platform Limited have opened a new data exchange facility using Acord Solution Group’s Adept Placing data exchange gateway. The new connection enables Axa XL to receive structured data, final market reform contracts and supporting documents directly from PPL’s placing platform.

Axa XL said the connection would reduce data rekeying, minimise the potential for errors and assist in reducing the number of frictional queries in the placing process.

Christopher Read, chief operating officer, UK and Lloyd’s at Axa XL, said: “This integration represents a significant milestone in our digital transformation journey and another step towards the majority of our portfolio being able to operate on a fully digital basis.”

Tanya Duckworth, chief product officer at PPL, added: “Our API suite allows for carriers to access PPL from within their own systems to drive efficiency, enable process consistency and ultimately respond quicker.”

Duckworth said similar capabilities were available to brokers.
