DOA Underwriting has launched a new private clients travel insurance product, underwritten by Axa and available only through brokers. Brokers can access the new cover via Sunworld, which is DOA’s online travel insurance platform offering quote and bind functionality.

The product offers cancellation cover of up to £20,000 per person and baggage cover of up to £7,500 per person. It also provides gadget and flight delay cover.

Announcing the new travel product, DOA Underwriting stated: “Premium clients deserve premium protection... and now brokers can offer it with ease with our new prestige cover tier.”

David Oliver established DOA Underwriting as a managing general agent in 1996. It specialises in providing travel, financial professions and property cover. It works through a network of more than 2,000 brokers and has a team of around 65 people.

Oliver, was a founding member of the Managing General Agents’ Association when the industry body launched in 2011.
