Managing general agent Arkel, which is part of the Atec Group, will launch its non-standard home and landlord schemes on CDL’s cloud-based platform Proteus. Arkel says the decision marks the beginning of a wider migration to the platform.
The MGA will subsequently move its specialist personal lines, residential let and SME commercial schemes onto Proteus. Arkel says the move will enhance broker access to its products while improving its own data enrichment and pricing capabilities.
Ant Sherlock, head of distribution at Arkel, said: “Proteus gives us the flexibility to develop and refine our pricing and products at pace, while providing a scalable platform for bringing further schemes to market.”
Nigel Phillips, CEO at CDL, added: “Arkel is a great example of the type of agile, specialist MGA that can benefit from the flexibility and scalability of an insurer-hosted platform. We’re delighted to support the launch of Arkel’s non-standard home and landlord schemes on Proteus and to be working with the team on its phased programme to bring further products onto the platform.”
