Qlaims virtual surveys boost for property claims

Property claims specialist, Qlaims is offering its secure video-streaming platform to loss adjusters, insurers, managing general agents and brokers with delegated claims authority to enable them to remotely survey property damage and instigate repairs in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The technology can also be used by brokers to conduct a virtual site visit with their client, commented the company, for example to assess a care home that has to restrict external visitors. Qlaims’ 450 CAA-approved drone operators can also be deployed for live or recorded video capture if an aerial view is required.

Mike Keating, Qlaims insurance development director commented: “Technology will help us all to deal with property claims whilst following government advice on maintaining social distancing. The coronavirus pandemic is going to fundamentally change the way we interact with customers for quite some time, but it won’t stop property claims from happening. We hope that this will help the industry to maintain customer service during a very difficult period.”

Qlaims Insurance is also offering free use of the technology to any charity for which it would be helpful, and invites brokers to refer it to anyone in the community whom it might assist.
