Hybrid insurer Bridgehaven Specialty UK Limited has agreed a deal with managing general agent Amulet Real Estate Limited to provide capacity to underwrite a portfolio of specialist commercial property and liability insurance. Amulet, which is backed by capital partner Mission, was established earlier this year.

Amulet says the deal will enable it to provide best-in-class limits for commercial property (per risk and by location) and give brokers access to significant capacity and senior underwriting expertise.

Paul Dilley, chief underwriting officer of Bridgehaven, said: “Although Amulet Real Estate is a newly formed MGA, the underwriting team has many years of underwriting expertise in the UK commercial property and liability marketplaces.”

Paul Bennett, chief executive officer of Amulet, added: “The support of Bridgehaven allows us to further strengthen our offering to the market, enhancing our ability to deliver specialist underwriting solutions across our target markets.”

Amulet is an appointed representative of Mission Underwriting UK Limited and writes property, casualty, liability and business interruption cover in the UK.
