AXA appoints group CIO

AXA has appointed current chief executive officer of AXA Brazil, Delphine Maisonneuve, as group chief innovation officer and chief executive officer of AXA Next, effective 1st January 2020.

She will replace Guillaume Borie who was recently appointed deputy chief executive of AXA France and chief executive officer of AXA Particuliers and IARD Entreprises.

Maisonneuve’s remit will include pursuing the firm’s endeavours to design, pilot and implement innovative insurance and service proposals across the group to serve the payer to partner strategy. She will report to chief executive officer of AXA International and New Markets and member of the group’s management committee, Benoît Claveranne.

He said: “Over 27 years at the firm in several roles across the group, Maisonneuve has developed a remarkable knowledge of the insurance business.

“I have experienced her drive and capacity to foster collaboration and accelerate business results at AXA Brazil and I am convinced that under her leadership, our innovation teams will further deepen their ability to build innovative services and offers for our clients,” he added.

Maisonneuve’s replacement at the head of the Brazil business will be announced later.
