Helios Underwriting, which acquires and consolidates underwriting capacity at Lloyd's, has announced the completion of three further deals. It has bought Kunduz LLP, Exalt Underwriting Limited and Nameco (No 1110) Limited for a total cash consideration of £3.9m, acquiring syndicate capacity of £4.1m. Helios said further deals were due to be announced in the coming days.
Giving an update on the company’s capacity to be underwritten for the 2022 year of account, Nigel Hanbury, chief executive of Helios, said: "I am delighted that the retained capacity underwritten by Helios shareholders will have trebled to £171m for the 2022 underwriting year. This provides us with a strong platform from which to make further value-enhancing acquisitions."
