Argenta Syndicate Management Limited, a subsidiary of Argenta Holdings Limited, has appointed Philip Hancock as head of engineering and construction. He will be based in London and be responsible for leading Argenta’s global engineering and construction business while overseeing its underwriting and business development. 

Barney Smythe, deputy active underwriter and head of specialty at Argenta, said: “The engineering and construction industries have faced a number of challenges over recent years. Hancock joins Argenta from Ensurance UK where he was head of underwriting and international engineering. Prior to this he was an underwriter at WISE Underwriting Agency, and before that he held the role of head of engineering, London, at Brit Syndicate 2987.
