Barr named as incoming BIBA chair

Carlone Barr (pictured) will step up from her existing role of non-executive director of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association to become chair of the industry body when Jonathan Evans completes his tenure at the end of this year. She will become BIBA’s first female chair and has sat on its board for six years.

Graeme Trudgill, CEO of BIBA, said: “Caroline has already been a guiding light on our main board, and we look forward to her leading us forward into the new era of insurance broking.”

Barr added: “I am extremely proud to have been offered this position, albeit that Jonathan will be sorely missed when he leaves. He did fantastic work for the association during his tenure and I want to continue the momentum that he built. There is still much work to be done.”
