QBE is gearing up to expand its professional indemnity proposition and launch a media PI product in Europe. It has recruited Lucy Smith and Hannah Dennis as senior media PI underwriter and media PI underwriter respectively. Both join from Tokio Marine HCC.

Chris Pavlou, professional indemnity portfolio manager – international markets at QBE Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Lucy and Hannah to QBE as we expand our PI offering into the media sector. The hire of two trusted media insurance specialists underpins QBE’s commitment to growth in this area as we look to further diversify our PI portfolio.”

QBE offers a media PI product in the US, which provides cover for video and film production, radio and television broadcasting, publishing and other media. It said it aimed to replicate the success of this product in Europe.
