Ceta bolsters notional home insurance proposition

Personal lines broker Ceta has added a new notional product for standard homes to its panel. It is called ClearSure. The product complements its existing non-standard household notional product, Adept. ClearSure offers buildings cover up to a maximum of £1m and contents cover up to a maximum of £100,000.

Ceta said industry data showed that around 70% of UK residential properties were underinsured and that its new product would help combat this issue.

James O’Hara, commercial director at Ceta, said: “Notional products give brokers the flexibility to place cases confidently, helping protect clients from underinsurance that can be financially devastating at the point of claim.

“We’re delighted we can now cover both standard and non-standard household on a notional basis. It strengthens advisers’ ability to deliver robust solutions across the full spectrum of residential risks.”
