BIBA to ramp up government lobbying activity

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association aims to increase its engagement activity with government bodies and policymakers to push its manifesto priorities and support the broking sector. It has recruited Amy Cox as its new head of public affairs to spearhead this work.

Cox has fulfilled public affairs roles at the Institution of Civil Engineers and Experian and earlier in her career worked for a minister in the Cabinet Office.

Cox said: “I’m delighted to be joining BIBA and look forward to advancing the organisation’s key points, while also building long-term strategic insight and ensuring BIBA remains a constructive friend and trusted voice for Government.”

Graeme Trudgill, CEO of BIBA, added: “Amy brings an excellent blend of political, corporate and membership body experience. Her expertise and strategic insight will be invaluable as we continue to advocate on behalf of our members and push forward the priorities set out in our Manifesto.”
