Managing general agent platform Orvia Underwriting, which brings together Ardonagh-owned MGAs, has extended its continental reach by launching into the Dutch market. It will focus on specialist insurance lines of business including high net worth personal lines, fine art, jewellery and specie and commercial property.
The move will see Private Insurance Assuradeuren, Private Insurance Nederland and Classicus Europe BV integrated into Orvia Underwriting in the coming months.
Conor Geraghty, CEO of Orvia Underwriting, said: “The Dutch market entry is another step in Orvia’s ambition to build a leading European underwriting business by unifying MGAs under one brand, while expanding into new markets and product areas as the business grows.”
Bart-Jan Kastrop, managing director of Orvia Netherlands, added: “This is a key market for the business across its product portfolio, and it opens up new opportunities to work with
brokers and capacity partners here.”
Orvia’s MGAs control combined gross written premium of more than £215m across more than 20 product lines in the London and European markets.
