SunLife has launched into the travel insurance market with a product that is manufactured and administered by Rock Insurance Services Limited and underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance SA. The move sees the provider expand out of its core offering of life insurance and equity release products.

The product will be available from SunLife Travel Insurance with SunLife acting as an intermediary and selling cover via its website. It aims to expand distribution to comparison websites in time.

Policyholders can opt for either a standard or plus level of cover with both options available on an annual or single trip basis. Insureds can also include additional cover for golf, winter sports and cruise holidays.
