Zurich UK has made a free virtual GP service available to its club blue partner brokers and their employees. The additional service marks the third anniversary of the club, which supports independent regional brokers with learning, development and wellbeing support.

Last year, Zurich UK provided over 6,700 hours of learning and development support to more than 160 club blue broker members. The carrier hopes the GP offering will support brokers to access medical support quickly and conveniently and minimise poor health and absenteeism.

The 24/7 proposition will be delivered in partnership with HealthHero. It enables members to book appointments, arrange prescriptions and request referral letters.

Jacqui Kelly, head of sales and distribution for Zurich, said: “Brokers are the heartland of our industry and so much more. They are people building businesses, supporting clients and navigating constant change.”

She added: “When you consider that 148 million working days are lost each year to sickness absence in the UK and poor workplace health costs employers around £85bn annually, this isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people, livelihoods and businesses staying strong.”
