Open GI has added Arkel’s landlord product (premier let) to its SME platform, which already supports Arkel’s non-standard household product and its let property scheme. The new product includes landlords’ building insurance, loss of income, contents and property owners’ liability up to £2m.
It offers cover for non-standard risks such as unusual construction types as well as for properties susceptible to flood and subsidence.
Ant Sherlock, group head of distribution at Atec, Arkel’s parent company, said: “Arkel and Open GI have a great working relationship, and this latest opportunity confirms our appetite to continue to look for new ways to offer our products to brokers and end customers. We are keen to use this latest product launch to increase our Open GI broker distribution and ultimately continue to achieve our long-term growth aspirations.”
Nick Giddings, director of distribution and partners at Open GI, added: “Arkel’s focus on non-standard risks gives brokers another strong option for hard-to-place risks and is an excellent addition to our panel. Arkel and Open GI have worked closely together for many years and we look forward to exploring further product launches in the future.”
