Brokers put priority on quick claims service – Aviva

Almost half of brokers (46%) named faster claims settlements from insurers as their top priority. Better risk management support (34%) came second, while securing increased insights into the risks attached to their clients’ businesses (32%) was third.

The findings come from Aviva’s latest Broker Barometer, which also suggests almost nine out of 10 brokers (88%) want to work with carriers that have a strong regional presence.

Michael Yabantu, managing director, mid-market at Aviva, said: “Brokers know that success isn’t down to one individual – it’s about having the right people in the right positions, backed by a strong team. From efficient claims handling to empowered local underwriting, regional teams have a key role to play in helping brokers understand and deliver for their clients.

“That’s why we’re continuing to invest across our regional team – strengthening underwriting authority, improving claims experience, and putting more support on the ground.”
