Minster Law acquires Arag Law’s personal injury portfolio

Minster Law has acquired Arag Law’s personal injury business which includes both the team of legal professionals and its active case load. The deal will see Minster Law create a new office in Bristol, adding to its London office – opened earlier this year – and its headquarters in Wakefield.

Minster Law says the deal reflects its strategy of identifying and acquiring high-quality businesses and builds on its 2022 acquisition of Irwin Mitchell’s high-volume personal injury business.

Shirley Woolham, chief executive officer of Minster Law, said: “This acquisition is another deliberate step in our long-term growth strategy and reflects our confidence in the future of specialist personal injury legal services.

“The personal injury market has changed fundamentally over recent years. What was once viewed as a relatively standard legal service has become an increasingly specialist discipline, requiring sustained investment in legal expertise, technology, operational capability and the ability to deliver consistently high-quality outcomes at scale.”

Mike Lowe, director of law at Arag Law, added: “This is an excellent deal for both Minster and Arag Law, furthering Minster Law’s strategic expansion into delivering specialist personal injury services and providing continuity for Arag Law’s clients, colleagues and business partners.

“We’re confident that the transfer of any ongoing claims will be seamless and, in establishing a regional office very close to Arag Law’s Bristol HQ, Minster offers the best new home for the team.”
