Allianz joins Sky Protect Home Insurance panel

Allianz UK has joined the broker panel for Sky Protect Home Insurance. Under the arrangement, the insurer will be responsible for pricing, underwriting and claims handling on policies it underwrites as part of Sky Protect’s home insurance product.

Launched in 2023, Sky Protect operates a broker panel model for its home insurance offering. Allianz said that its data and machine learning capabilities enable it to support Sky's simplified question set. The insurer will write new business and provide cover to existing Sky Protect customers who are placed with Allianz at renewal.

Glyn Hughes, managing director of Allianz Personal Broker, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to grow our home insurance portfolio and reach new customers across the UK. Being part of the panel is a great moment for Allianz Personal Broker, a strong example of how we’re continuing to support the broker market.

“Our investment in data and machine learning capabilities, combined with improvements to our home pricing models, and our claims service, which puts customers at the heart of every interaction, means we are ideally placed to support Sky's innovative approach to home insurance.”

Paul Sweeney, managing director at Sky Protect, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Allianz to the Sky Protect insurance panel, completing an expert line-up of leading insurers that will help us deliver even more value to our customers. Bringing together Allianz, Ageas and AXA means we can offer greater choice, competitive pricing and more tailored cover options, while continuing to provide the simple, seamless experience that Sky Protect is known for.”
