The British Insurance Brokers’ Association has renewed its specialised construction scheme with Renovation Plan, which is part of Howden. The eponymous scheme provides cover for residential and commercial construction, renovation or conversion projects.

Graeme Trudgill, chief executive at BIBA, said: “Renovation projects can create gaps in protection that standard home insurance policies may not address, particularly when building work is taking place. This scheme helps ensure customers have the cover they need throughout the project.”

Dean Wright, divisional director – schemes at Howden, added: “The renewal reflects the strong relationship we’ve built over many years and our shared commitment to supporting brokers whose clients are undertaking renovation, extension and refurbishment projects.

He added: “BIBA’s continued endorsement reflects the quality of the scheme, the expertise of our team and the value it delivers to brokers across the UK.”

Renovation Plan is headquartered in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex and has been trading for almost 20 years.
