Axa Commercial has announced the appointment of Paul Tombs as director of its SME intermediary business.

Mr Tombs has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with 18 spent at Zurich working across underwriting, marketing and proposition development. He recently led the insurer’s SME business through a digital transformation and broker service improvements. He has a background in the technology and digital space, having been a director of Polaris, and head of operations at Yarowa.

Mr Tombs starts his new role in the summer.
