Liverpool-based provider of self-reporting and remote video capture technology, Eviid said it has seen a major increase in use by insurers and loss adjusters for claims during the UK lockdown.
Chief executive, John Ridd said that In April alone the company trained an additional 1000 claims handlers, loss adjusters and other insurance personnel -- many of whom were new to the Eviid platform.
According to the firm's website, its customer base includes insurers NFU Mutual, LV, Legal & General and RSA and loss adjusters such as Davies and Crawford.
In a statement, insurer NFU Mutual confirmed that it had ramped up its use of the firm’s services to enable its claims handlers to receive multimedia evidence from policyholders and make liability decisions.
Said Ridd: “For clients like NFU Mutual, who were using our product long before the covid-19 outbreak - such as during the recent episodes of flooding and storms - adopting such agile technology was always about working smarter and more efficiently for the benefit of their policy holders. But no-one could have anticipated that such an investment would prove to be as important as it is today with regards to processing customer claims effectively in the face of social distancing protocols.”
