The Exeter has announced that Isobel Langton is to succeed Andy Chapman as chief executive in April 2021.
Ms Langton is a widely experienced senior executive with strong financial, operational and relationship management skills, spanning over 30-years within the insurance industry. Most recently chief executive of Royal London’s intermediary division, she created and implemented strategy for their protection business and led the pensions business through a period of significant success, driving value for both intermediaries and customers alike. Prior to that, she was group customer service director at Royal London and has also held senior roles within Scottish Life and Irish Life Assurance.
Mr Chapman announced in February 2020 his intention to retire. The search for his replacement began a year ago but has been delayed due to the pandemic.
