Private equity investor BP Marsh & Partners plc has acquired a 35% shareholding in UK-based professional indemnity insurance intermediary Salus Capital Partners Limited. Salus will operate via two subsidiaries, Forte Professions Limited and Scribe MGA Limited.
Forte will operate as a specialised broker and target UK-domiciled businesses including architects, engineers, surveyors, accountants, construction firms and insurance brokers. Scribe is the professional indemnity underwriting unit of Salus and will have an initial focus on the construction, surveying and accountancy market sectors.
James Page, Matthew Jones, Dawn Zacharow and Stuart Barker founded Salus. In a statement, they said: "We are delighted to partner with BP Marsh as we pursue our long-term ambitions, as set out in our business plan.
“BP Marsh offers Salus more than a financial investment, and the team brings a significant amount of insurance experience, expertise, and relationships. We look forward to working with BP Marsh over the years to come to achieve our goals.”
