Insurance intermediary business the Clear Group, has inked its name on the UK Armed Forces Covenant, which is a pledge by businesses and organisations to ensure that ex and serving armed forces personnel and their families, are treated fairly and with respect. Clear said the move was part of its commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace.

Simon Smith, group chief operating officer of the Clear Group, said: “I served in the military before and after university, and I continue to serve as a military reservist in my spare time. I believe the Armed Forces Community aligns with our Clear culture and values.”

He added: “This covenant demonstrates our external commitment to the AFC and reflects how we value people and their families, which in turn provides an important contribution to UK national defence.”

The Clear Group said it had a number of team members who had joined following service in the armed forces.
