Managing general agent Euna has launched a new care sector recruitment insurance scheme. The packaged product offers a suite of covers to recruiters placing temporary staff into CQC-regulated care environments such as residential care homes, nursing homes and domiciliary care providers.

Covers include medical malpractice, abuse and molestation, D&O extension, loss of registration and theft of keys. The scheme is available to brokers via Euna’s quote-and-buy platform.

Pete Newson, head of professional indemnity underwriting at Euna, said: “Care recruiters operate in a highly regulated environment, supplying staff into settings involving vulnerable people. This creates a distinct risk profile that is not always well served by generic recruitment policies.

“Our scheme has been built specifically for the care sector, giving recruiters confidence that exposures around malpractice, safeguarding and regulatory risk are properly addressed.”
