Coversure Hull Group has consolidated its Cleethorpes and Peterborough operations into its Hull headquarters. It says the move is in response to growing demand and that it wants to create a centralised hub for commercial and property clients that will support its bid to double annual turnover from £10m to £20m by 2031.
Founder and managing director Andy Price established the broker in Hull in 2006. The new unit will support insurance provision for a range of commercial properties, including industrial units, warehouses, offices, retail premises and mixed-use buildings.
Price said: “Demand for commercial property insurance has grown steadily, particularly among clients operating in the industrial, logistics and port-related sectors. Our property insurance book has increased by more than 30% in two years, so launching a dedicated service is a logical next step for the business.
“Commercial properties are also becoming more complex. Owners increasingly need advice about emerging risks associated with smart-building technology, cyber exposure and electric-vehicle. Bringing our expertise together at our Hull headquarters means clients can access commercial and property insurance advice in one place. It also gives us a strong platform from which to grow the business, create further opportunities for our team and work towards our £20m target.”
