Global specialty re/insurance group, Chaucer, has appointed Hayley Spink as group chief operating officer.

Spink has over 20 years’ London Market experience, including senior leadership roles at Lloyd’s. She will join Chaucer in Q4 from Apollo Syndicate 1969, where she currently serves as COO.

David Bendle, incumbent group COO, will retire as planned at the end of the year after 22 years of service.

Spink’s appointment is subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
