Canopius Group has appointed Adrian Phipps as chief people officer, effective June 2026.

Phipps will lead the group’s people strategy with responsibility for talent development, culture and organisational growth. He will report to Neil Robertson, group chief executive officer, and will succeed Barbara Turner, chief HR officer, who is retiring later this year after more than a decade with the business.

Phipps joins from Secret Escapes, where he served as chief people officer. His previous roles include people director at Arqiva and HR director for UK personal lines at RSA.
