Specialist MGA, Aqueous Underwriting, has announced the appointment of Alex Stephenson as senior underwriter. He joins Aqueous having spent 10 years at Manchester Underwriting. Stephenson has previously worked at RSA and at broker Millers, and joins with immediate effect.

Aqueous currently writes PI for a wide range of trades and professions.

Aqueous’ chief underwriting officer Mark Ford said: “Being able to bring someone of Alex’s market knowledge and experience into the Aqueous underwriting team is a sign of our commitment to realising the growth ambitions we have in the professional indemnity sector. His expertise in writing PI across a broad range of professions really adds to the strength in depth we are developing.

“We have some ambitious growth plans, and together with the continued support of our capacity providers, I have little doubt we’ll be able to achieve them.”
