Insurance Museum seeking £3m in annual ongoing funds

The Insurance Museum Initiative has set an annual fundraising target of £3m and is seeking pledges from insurers, brokers and service providers.

The funds will enable the sustainable delivery of the Insurance Museum and allow it to offer a permanent and free-to-enter venue in the City of London.

They will also pay for the creation of a virtual experience including an archive, a documentary series and digital tools to support educational outreach activities and to share the story of insurance.

The fundraising campaign is open for pledges until 7th December, with donations receivable by April 2021.

Reg Brown, chairman of the Insurance Museum Initiative, said: “The Insurance Museum is an initiative that we should all support – especially now, at a time when career opportunities for younger generations are of utmost importance for society.”

He added: “We are urging our profession to say, ‘I’m in’ and do what you or your company can in support of this worthy initiative and write down your company’s name in history on this fundraising pledge form as an Insurance Museum founder.”
