Ethos Broking buys Drayton Insurance

Ethos Broking UK has purchased Drayton Insurance Services via its Norwich-based regional hub, Hugh J Boswell. Drayton Insurance Services was founded in 1997. It has offices in Norwich, Poringland, Aylsham and Ipswich and handles £14m if gross written premium. It employs 40 people and they will all stay with the business following the deal.

Richard Tuplin, CEO of Ethos Broking UK, said: “The team at Drayton Insurance Services are experts in their field and their knowledge in the personal lines and SME space will perfectly complement Hugh J Boswell’s strong commercial lines capability.

“It’s great to see Graeme Wooden, managing director at Hugh J Boswell, bringing his first acquisition over the line and it demonstrates that despite the tough circumstances we find ourselves in, with the right mindset and the right people around us we can still very much push forward as a business for the benefit of our clients.”

Ethos Broking UK was established in 2016 to give broking businesses an exit option. It has 13 regional hubs, 28 satellites and currently controls grow written premium of £322m.
