Davies unveils strong financial results

Davies has unveiled its financial results for the year to 30th June 2019. Revenue grew by 49% to £115.5m and EBITDA by 54% to £23.7m. The workforce of the business increased to 1,579 compared with 1,006 in 2018.

The company said it witnessed growth across its three core platforms: claims solutions, insurance services and consulting and technology.

The company also announced two new senior internal appointments, effective from January 2020 and who will both report to the group’s chief executive, Dan Saulter.

Executive chairman Darren Coombes will take up a new group role as chief growth officer. His remit will include allowing the firm to secure partnerships globally with new and existing clients.

Chief operating officer for claims solutions, Kath Mainon will serve as chief executive officer for the group’s UK & Ireland claims solutions business.

Saulter said: “These excellent results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our growing global team of claims, insurance, consulting and technology professionals.

“I am delighted that we have been able to set aside additional Davies shares into our employee ownership programme, meaning that Davies colleagues can continue to share in our success as we grow and win,” he added.

The firm said it had increased its annual investment in innovation and digital transformation more than fourfold over the past four years; including in its CQ claims processing platform, its video and drone claims handling solutions, as well as investing in automation, speech analytics and virtual reality training solutions.

Davies acquired Ireland-based Thornton Group earlier this month.
