Admiral Group has completed its acquisition of fleet insurance specialist Flock, which was first announced in February of this year. Admiral Pioneer, the insurer’s venture building division, first partnered with Flock in 2024. Flock basis its underwriting on telemetry data. It aims to reduce fleet risks by providing safety improvement suggestions and incentivising policyholders with premium rebates.
Ed Leon Klinger, CEO of Flock, said: “Our mission has always been to make the world quantifiably safer. Being part of Admiral means we can pursue that across a much bigger share of the UK motor market.
“Combining Flock's AI-powered platform with Admiral's scale and expertise is something we have been hugely looking forward to. I couldn't think of a better home for what we've built.”
Since the acquisition was announced, Flock has launched a haulage fleet product and reduced the minimum fleet size for its taxi product from 25+ to 5+ vehicles. This has made it available to smaller operators across the UK.
