Pen puts focus on e-trade

Pen Underwriting is pushing to enhance its e-trade capabilities across its multi-line underwriting and distribution operations. To drive this move, the managing general agent is promoting Jamie Lawson to the newly created role of head of digital e-trade. He previously led on e-trade and distribution for Pen Underwriting’s SME and personal lines division.

Hannah Fry, chief operating officer at Pen Underwriting, said: “Having recently set out a bold new growth ambition of becoming a £1.75bn GWP underwriting and distribution business by 2030, the way in which Pen transacts with broking partners is more crucial than ever.

“With a new Pen-wide remit, Jamie and his team will collaborate closely with each of our trading divisions, provide full operational and technical support, and leverage their knowledge, experience and expertise to supercharge our digital platforms and e-trading capabilities.”

Lawson added: “There are huge benefits to be had from taking a uniform approach to digital e-trade, centralising functions, leveraging technology and developing Pen-wide propositions for the future.”
