Insurtech Gateway, which supports early stage managing general agents, has secured Lloyd’s broker status. It supports early-stage founders with the design of their insurance products, as well as with underwriting capacity, regulatory compliance and pre-seed funding.

In a statement, Insurtech Gateway said: “We’re proud to share that Insurtech Gateway has been authorised to trade within the Lloyd’s market, after securing our Lloyd’s Broker status. This milestone further augments Gateway’s platform for enabling early-stage MGAs, especially those tackling emerging risks in underserved or rapidly evolving markets.”

It added: “For years, we’ve worked alongside Lloyd’s underwriters. Formalising that relationship gives our portfolio direct access to the market, alongside the capital, compliance, and product design support we already provide.”
In addition to its presence in London, Insurtech Gateway also has operations in Australia.
