Managing general agent Amiga Speciality has secured Lloyd’s capacity for its management liability proposition for SME and mid-market businesses. The facility is focused on risks in the UK and Europe. Last month, Amiga announced a five-year capacity deal through the Accelerant Risk Exchange to support its offering across D&O, professional indemnity, financial institutions and transactional risk.
James Rasmussen, managing director – management liability at Amiga Specialty, said: “This Lloyd’s-backed facility reinforces our underwriting-led approach, combining disciplined judgement with speed, clarity and a genuine understanding of risk. It brings additional, meaningful capacity to the London market.”
Adam Kembrooke, group managing director and founder of Amiga Specialty, added: “Securing Lloyd’s capacity is an important step in scaling Amiga Specialty. The management liability proposition benefits significantly from Lloyd’s reputation and licensing infrastructure, reinforcing our commitment to underwriting-led growth, long-term broker partnerships and building specialist teams around people we trust.”
Kembrooke founded Amiga Specialty earlier this year with backing from investors including BP Marsh & Partners.
